Development Alternatives Inc. is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Monitoring & Evaluation and Communications Specialist on the USAID Lebanon Water and Wastewater Sector Support (LWWSS) Program for a period of 27 months.
The successful candidate will be responsible oversee the implementation of projects benefiting the four Lebanese water establishments and report to the program’s Chief of Party.
Responsibility and tasks:
• Monitor and report on program’s performance indicators;
• Report program progress on a monthly and quarterly basis;
• Ensure environmental compliance in line with program's Environmental Monitoring and Mitigation Plan;
• Write program communications products (e.g. activity profile sheets, success stories, and press releases)
Required Qualifications:
• A min. of 5 years of experience in project management working on USAID or similar donor-funded projects, preferably with a focus on environment or water resource management;
• Bachelor’s degree in environment, engineering, communications, journalism, management, or similar field. A master’s degree is preferred;
• A min. of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Performance monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment and reporting;
- Communications or journalism;
- Environmental assessment and mitigation processes.
• Fluency in English and Arabic, with proven capacity to engage in verbal and written communication, reporting impact of program activities to a variety of audiences.
