Trainer Fundraising

In the framework of the project “Let’s all go to school initiative“ funded by UNICEF, which aims to empower schools with the capacity and experience to plan and implement extracurricular activities for children using a child friendly approach, Mada is seeking a Trainer Fundraising. The trainer will be in charge of developing and implementing a practical workshop on Fundraising. The training should be tailored to enable the Activity Committees in schools to draft a budget for their Annual Action Plan and develop a fundraising strategy to attract funds for their Plan to be able to implement extracurricular activities in their respective schools. Objective of Training Building the capacities of school activity committees on budgeting and fundraising techniques and ideas and mobilizing them towards developing and implementing a fundraising strategy to cover the costs of yearly extra-curricular school activities Expected Results Committees are able to draft a budget for their Annual Activties Action Plan Committees are knowledgeable about fundraising techniques, tools and activities A realistic fundraising strategy is developed and committees are mobilized to start fundraising action Training Content Budgeting of activities and projects Fundraising tools, techniques, activities and ideas How to identify potential source of funding Planning and implementation of events, campaigns and appeals Drafting fundraising strategy with timeframe

EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
 A bachelor degree in business, marketing, communications, public relations or other related fields.
 Experience in marketing and fundraising jobs with demonstrated success.
 Familiarity with a variety of fundraising practices and procedures, especially for extracurricular activities in deprived regions and public school settings
 Experience in interactive and participatory training techniques
 Experience in designing trainings and developing training material
 Experience in the design questionnaires, evaluation forms and pre- and post test
 Computer: Office Pack
 Languages: Arabic, English
SKILLS REQUIRED
 Excellent social and interpersonal skills
 Experience in awareness raising and in motivating deprived communities
 Good knowledge of the area and its local habits
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 Involvement and commitment Acting in a diplomatic way, representing Mada’s non-religious, non-political and non-sectarian principles and respect for diversity and gender
