WORK CONTEXT / BACKGROUND: Starting April 2011, an influx of Syrian Refugees fleeing military violence and onslaught crossed the Lebanese borders to seek shelter and refuge in the Northern Areas of Lebanon. Shortly after, the refugees started appearing in the Bekaa region. World Vision Lebanondecided to address the urgent survival needs of disaster-affected families and their children in the Bekaa in coordination with the international and local organizations intervening in the area.   PURPOSE OF POSITION:   To provide driving services, as required, to Relief Project Staff and visitors in the Bekaa Area and ensure that all errands/logistics are carried out in a timely manner.    MAJOR TASKS:   Drive the Relief Project team and outreach workers within Bekaa and to and fro Mansourieh as required. Drive WVL visitors to and fro Bekaa as required. Ensure that World Vision vehicles are mechanically maintained in a manner that will provide reliable transportation and use. Report any accidents or mechanical problem of a vehicle to Risk, Security & GIK Manager Check vehicles regularly, to make sure any necessary general repairs are carried out as required. Maintain vehicle Equipment/Inventory (GPRS, fire extinguisher, First Aid Kit...) Ensure that all assigned vehicles are clean at all times Maintain a Non Smoking policy in vehicles at all times EDUCATION / SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:             Education   High school diploma or its equivalent Valid Driver's license     Knowledge and Skills Excellent verbal communication Ability to read maps efficiently + GPS Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Able to communicate effectively with National Director,  staff and visitors Ability to function well as part of a team Diligent attention to detail Diligent attention to safety Good command of Oral English    Experience At least 3 years driving experience               Work Environment: Based at the Bekaa Office 90% travel required 10% office work Position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours and non-working days when needed. Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster.
