Child Friendly Space Field Officer (Kubayyat – Akkar)

Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, on 5 or 6 month contracts, for its Lebanon Country Office, in Akkar: Child Friendly Space Field Officer (Kubayyat – Akkar) The Child Friendly Space Field Officer will be responsible for the set-up and oversight of the Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) in Akkar, ensuring that activities are monitored and delivered to a high quality by the CFS Animators in each site. The CFS Officer will also work with the animators and social workers to identify, document and refer children that are in need of additional assistance beyond the scope of the CFS (i.e. mental health services) The CFS Officer will document and share successes and challenges of the CFS programme, and ensure that support and training is provided to the CFS animators.   Job Requirements: Degree in teaching, social work or social sciences Extensive work experience of working directly with children Excellent communication skills with children Preferably, experience in project management and supervision of staff Ability to write weekly and monthly reports Commitment  to  and  understanding  of  Save  the  Children’s  aims,  values  and principles  including rights-based approaches Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, and English APPLICATION PROCESS   Please note that the closing date for applications is Oct 28th.   The selection committee will review all applications as they are received.
