Social Worker-Female Refugees

Amel Association International is recruiting a Social Worker to work in the Amel Community Center for Refugees in Ain El Remmaneh. Under the program, "Support to Refugees" funded by UNHCR, the program provides psychosocial support, vocational training and a livlihood component to female refugees.  Working with the Head of Center, the Social Worker will be responsible for the following: Raghida Hamiye is employed by AMEL Association as Social Worker at Ain el Remmaneh Community Center. She works under the direct supervision of the Center Responsible. She is based in Ain el remmaneh and works on a part-time basis from Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM till 2:00 pm. Raghida is required to work unconventional hours whenever there is a major activity (like a trip, celebration, etc.)   Support the Head of Center  in the organization and coordination of the activities: -          Assess the needs and priorities of the targeted beneficiaries and define suitable activities based on participatory approach, -          Select and recruit the required teachers and trainers; Follow-up with the teachers and trainers -          Set up appropriate timetable for psycho-social support, vocational training and educational activities -          Assess needs for supplies and materials to conduct the activities, prepare list of requirements and allocate and arrange space for the different activities; -          Follow-up attendance of women, report absences and propose appropriate measures when needed. -          Participate to the planning and implementation of a livelihood project with women (identify suppliers and clients, networking  and marketing)      Monitoring and evaluation: Support the center responsible in assessing the activities with women by designing and filling evaluation tools: Update file for each refugee women Ÿ Follow-up with trainers and women Ÿ Organize a monthly meeting with teachers and trainers   Upload data on attendance and beneficiaries in UNHCR database system-RAIS     Social counseling -          Arrange social counseling for women seeking for assistance in educational and social field; -          Create, develop and maintain an appropriate network of institutions, NGOs and relevant partners in the concerned field of activity; -          Organize referrals and follow-up cases.   Outreach activities When requested, Ÿ Conduct field visit s at least once a month Ÿ Collect data and updating a database Ÿ Conduct surveys and studies as requested   Reporting / Meetings -      Contribute to the preparation of narrative reporting on the project -      Attend and actively participate to weekly staff meeting; -      Participate, as requested, in workshops and coordination meetings intended to improve professional knowledge and skills relevant to assigned responsibilities.   Other duties -      Assist the head of center  in planning, monitoring, evaluation and follow up on all activities of the community center; -      Mobilize community support and participation in the various community based activities; -      Perform other duties as  assigned     Qualifications -     Degree in Social Work or related field -     3-5 years of experience in a similar role -     Experience with refugees/vulnerable populations preferred -     Arabic fluency and strong English skills -     Strong computer skills -     Strong communication skills -     Flexible team member
