Education Assistants

  Vacancies Announcement   Save the Children is the leading independent organization creating lasting change in the lives of children in need around the world. Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, on 5month/ 6 months  contracts, with possible extentions,   for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar and Bekaa:     Education Assistants: all field locations (Kubayyat, Tripoli and Bekaa)   The education Assistants will work directly in the field with Syrian Refugee children, families and other stakeholders of the project locations they are allocated to, and provide information and advise beneficiaries on existing social services. They will finalize operational work plans, understand clear targets and activity plans per school, remedial class and accelerated learning program, and assist in education- specific monitoring and evaluating of these activities. .  They will regularly visit project sites to ensure that implementing partners and teachers are appropriately supported. They will ensure a strict adherence to the principles of Child Protection at all times.   Job Requirements: At least two years experience in education, preferably in an NGO environment or educational setting Bachelors  degree  in  education, development  or  another  social  science  Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, and either English or French Excellent report writing and communication skills – both written and verbal Excellent computer skills and able to maintain files, registers and databases.   APPLICATION PROCESS   Please note that the closing date for applications is Sep 30th.   The selection committee will review all applications as they are received.
