MAJOR TASKS:
Responsible for the maintenance of the office and warehouse premises
Responsible for the maintenance of WVL equipment and assets
Responsible to advise management on contracting and supply matters
Responsible to identify different distribution locations in Bekaa area in coordination with the risk manager
Responsible to identify locations for the Child friendly spaces as per the need
Support in the management of logistics services during emergencies (warehouse management (dispatching and storage of received goods), transport management, etc.)
Responsible for the communications equipments (such as radios etc)
Check WV vehicles and follow up on any maintenance or repair needed
Follow up with the insurance company to repair WVL vehicles in case of accident
Submit weekly reports to the risk manager on the cars’ condition and incidents reports on a timely manner
Abide by the security procedures and policies and report any breaches to relevant manager
Participate in personal safety training as required
Be aware of emergency procedures in a response, and support in having the necessary preparedness measures implemented
Support in implementation of Quick Impact Projects
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge and Skills
Good command of Arabic and English.
Gives attention to detail and has an analytical mindset.
Good communication skills, both oral and written Ability to cope and work under pressure.
Computer literate (MS Office)
Hold a valid driving license
Certified in basic life support, preferably on paramedic level.
Knowledge or experience in the area of human rights or international humanitarian law would be an asset.
Experience
Proven security management skills, with emphasis on the unique security requirements of humanitarian aid work.
Minimum of 2 years experience in supply chain work
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar job.
Direct personal experience of working successfully in hostile environments or under difficult operational circumstances.
Work Environment:
60% field
40% office based
Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster. Also requires willingness to undergo World Vision and external training on how to respond to such emergencies, including first aid training.
Position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally
