Medical Doctor (Gp)

The Medical Doctor will be providing consultations on general medicine in the health centre of El Qaa, Qadaa of Baalbek, Bekaa Valley. The centre provides free primary health care for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese in the area. Deployment to other areas of Bekaa might be proposed in case of need. Job Description: - Participate actively in the triage activities - Provide medical consultations: Take a proper medical history Perform a correct physical examination                    Diagnose and treat the pathologies according to protocols in use (i.e. clinical guidelines) Write the most important complaints, signs, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment on the patient’s file. Explain the treatment to the patient. Give individual health education related to the patient’s disease. Fill in the patient’s file & prescription book, according to the diagnosis of the morbidity surveillance form. - Investigates any data regarding unusual health events or potential communicable disease provided through any source - Perform the daily data collection regarding curative consultations - Participate to the computerization of the medical data - Participate in pharmacy management - Share with medical coordinator assistant any problem (medical or non medical) occurring during the work. - Participate on request to medical assessment - Participate to trainings and meetings organized by MDM   Requirements: -      Degree in Medicine and prefessional accreditation (license) as medical doctor -      A professional experience of 2/3 years minimum is required -      Clinical experience and experience in Primary Health Care are required -      Work experience with an NGO (local or international) will be an asset -      Fluent in Arabic, very good knowledge of English, French is an asset. -      Ability to compile statistics, write reports, and IT skills (MS Windows, MS Office, Internet) -      Diplomacy, ability to communicate, good relational skills -      Flexibility -      Organizational skills
