Supervision Unit Psychologist

Program Title: Comprehensive Iraqi Refugee Assistance Program Position: Psychologist Location: To be decided, Beirut                                    General Job Description: Provide technical support and supervision to trained Primary Health Care (PHC) workers as part of an IMC’s supported mental health supervision unit  in a to be decided PHC center in the Beirut region. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Mental Health Supervision Unit Specific Duties -        Establish a monitoring and supervision system with mental health supervision unit members, collectively with IMC and the to-be-decided PHC center. -        Conduct weekly visits to the PHC center as part of the monitoring and supervision plan. -        Develop, monitor and implement clinic based/outreach treatment plans together with trained PHC workers. -        Provide limited but necessary therapeutic services to Adult and Child/Adolescent patients referred by trained PHC workers. -        Keep track of patient numbers/cases through IMC outpatient records, to be submitted at the end of every month. -        Document field visits carried out to PHC clinics, to be submitted at the end of every month. -        Complete intake assessments, evaluations, treatment recommendations, reviews, and other documentation as necessary. -        Direct line of supervision is with the Mental Health Coordinator   Beirut Clinic Specific Duties -        Provide individual therapy to Adult and Child/Adolescent Mental Health Iraqi Refugee population and vulnerable host population in Beirut -        Complete intake assessments, evaluations, treatment recommendations, reviews, and other documentation as necessary. -        Interface with families, treatment team members and case management. -        Make necessary and timely referrals when necessary. -        Keep track of patient numbers/cases through IMC outpatient records, to be submitted at the end of every month. -        Direct line of supervision is with the Mental Health Coordinator   Deliverables: -        Monthly outpatient records & field visit reports -        Monthly reports to mental health supervision unit psychiatrist   Qualifications: -        Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology -        Social and Outreach work -        Previous experience in conducting therapy sessions for individuals and groups -        Fluent in spoken Arabic; English is a plus -        Previous NGO experience is a plus -        Personal interest in educational and mental health issues -        Willing to adhere to outreach schedule -        Good communication and teamwork skills
