Introduction:Amel Association is a non-governmental organization working to improve the livelihoods of the underprivileged in Lebanon, including refugees. The Haret Hreik center is a community support and development center for refugees, mainly children and young men who come here to seek educational support, vocational training, psychosocial activities and counseling. Teachers will be working on our educational program in the afternoon, with the main purpose of supporting outside classroom education as well as providing remedial support for students in need.   Position Requirements: Teachers of grades 1 till 4 should be holders of a Teaching Diploma in Education preferably of English Language background Teachers of grades 5 through 11 should be holders of a B.A degree in the subject matter they will teach (English, Arabic, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Economics & Social Sciences) All teachers should have a solid knowledge in teaching children with low academic levels  Teachers are expected to perform the following duties: By the start of the school year and by the support of the education coordinator teachers are supposed to set an assessment and evaluation tool to assess the academic level of every child and set an intervention educational plan for him/her. Teachers will be responsible for following the student’s lessons and supporting the child to finish all his assignments. Teachers should report on a weekly basis all the duties they performed to the education coordinator. Teachers are expected to join the education coordinator in an individual meeting on a weekly basis and a monthly team meeting. Teachers must have knowledge in the following: 1. Differentiated Academic Levels2. Children’s Learning Styles3. Classroom time managment4. Dealing with children from vulnerable background and from different nationalities5. Solid knowledge of the Child’s Rights Convention6. Implement interactive cooperative child centered activities7. Deal with disruptive behaviour with respect and fairness8. Respect the privacy of children and abide by the center’s policies
