Project background information Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale (French NGO) is implementing shelter rehabilitation projects in Palestinian gatherings of Hai el Cinema, Boustan Abou Jamil (Ein el Helweh) and Borj el Barajneh, and infrastructure rehabilitation projects in Hai el Sohon, Boustan Abou Jamil and Fadel Wakeem (Ein el Helweh). These projects include activities of shelter rehabilitation and water sanitation networks construction. These projects are funded by the European Commission Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department (ECHO) Accompanying the rehabilitation projects; PU-AMI is planning to implement an Awareness Campaign that will aim at: -          Raising people’s awareness on water –related hygiene issues. -          Informing the local population about the project and its objectives, and encourage the population’s involvement in the networks maintenance -          Developing an ownership feeling from the population towards the project.   Wished qualifications Experience in the social/humanitarian field Ability to capitalise on past experience and information available within the organisation in order to become autonomous quickly; Ability to take initiative to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work; Ability to adapt or change priorities according to the changing situation within a mission or the organisation itself; Well organized; Basic computer skills (word, excel); Hard worker; Able to manage stress and pressure; Able to check information, logical; Neutral;   Ø  Responsibilities:         The Health and Hygiene Field Officer will be based in Saida Office and will be daily visiting the gatherings in Ein el Helweh and Borj el Barajneh   She will: -          Be in daily contact with the beneficiaries, listen to their needs and problems, and be the link between the beneficiaries and the Public health expert and social team manager. -          Participate in health and hygiene needs assessment of some gatherings and propose essential ideas (on hygiene and water sanitation awareness) that can be implemented within the Focus / public sessions, activities and events, and /or for the campaign itself. -          Assist in designing, preparing and implementing hygiene and water sanitation awareness sessions and deliver it to the local communities, through focus sessions (home stations), Public sessions and Activities. -          Assist in designing and implementing events and activities with the beneficiaries (Men, Women, and Children); in order to involve them in PU-AMI projects especially the hygiene awareness campaign. -          Participate in designing the content of a documentary film, brochures and PowerPoint presentations on hygiene awareness. -          Report (Oral/Written) all awareness sessions delivered during the period of contract and all other activities that might be conducted under the title of hygiene and water sanitation awareness to the Public Health Expert. -          Participate in the pre/post evaluation assessment and final reports of the awareness campaigns and the projects -          Participate in managing referral of special health and hygiene hardship cases identified during the implementation of the awareness campaign   The field officer must be able to work in a team. She is flexible and ready to adapt to possible modifications of the program described above, in order to contribute to the success of Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale’s projects in Lebanon. She also takes part in the usual tasks of PU-AMI mission, and she is ready to get involved in other aspects of the project if necessary.
