Clinical Psychologist/ Bekaa

Médecins sans Frontières is a non- profit private international association whose main objective is to provide medical and humanitarian assistance to population in distress irrespective of race, religion, creed or political convictions. MSF provides independent, impartial assistance to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters.  Scope of Responsibilities: Implement mental health activities within the MSF mission. Carry out mental health care  With a strong sense of neutrality and confidentiality.   Evaluate the psychological needs of the patient. Diagnose any psychiatric or psychological disorder Define the best response (treatment and strategy) to answer these psychological needs Refer patients to a medical doctor  (preferably a psychiatrist) if chemotherapy is needed Carry out psychological care (psychological support or psychotherapy) according to MSF protocols (they will be published soon).   Public relation: Set up, maintain and work with a mental health community network.
