Agricultural Engineer - Dhaim Project

- Previous hands-on protected agriculture and/or hydroponics experience is a definite bonus - knowledge in crop scheduling, fertilization, irrigation/fertigation, GAP, IPM, harvesting, postharvest handling, cold chain controls, and transport practices is a plus - Good record keeping skills - Excellent communication skills - Experience in working with producer groups - Excellent computer skills (MS word, excel, Power Point is a must) - Ability to take initiative and work independently - Good writing skills are a must, in order to develop technical manuals for greenhouse crops - Horticulture/Floriculture based education and hands-on crop production experience a plus - Phisically fits and willing to assist in the construction of greenhouses - Must be willing to be work with a variety of different fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides and acids - Experience in applying pesticides is a plus - Previous experience with input suppliers is a plus - Fexibility in working schedule a must (weekends and nights in some emergency situations - ACDI-VOCA and DHAIM are completely tobacco-free work environment
