Community Center Leader (2 Vacancies)

Job purpose: NRC will establish two Community Centres for displaced Syrians in Lebanon. This project reaches out to Syrian families in and around the areas Sadnayel and Aarsal in the Bekaa Valley/Lebanon. NRC seeks to provide information and counselling services relating to access to services; legal status and other related matters. NRC also aims to strengthen the understanding of any protection issues faced by those displaced and, in coordination with other actors, identify ways to address these issues. . This position will be responsible for the day to day running of the centre and supervision of the centre’s staff. Tasks & Major Areas of Responsibility •Coordinate and run the centre effectively, manage the centre’s day to day activities. •Supervise the social staff involved in the community center. •Take a leading role in the sensitization of the Syrian and host communities on the existing activities offered at the Community center. •Work cooperatively with the beneficiaries to strengthen the program. •Responsible for security and logistic issues at the centre with close coordination with the logistic and admin officers. •Constantly monitor and follow-up on the quality of services provided in the centre •Responsible for information to and cooperation with community representatives and relevant authorities. •Have a clear idea about activities other institutions working in the same area are carrying out with displaced Syrian. •Contribute to the development of referral mechanisms in collaboration with other NGOs and NRC Managers. •Responsible of designing the needed forms, questionnaires and other templates. •Responsible of maintaining the archiving system up to date (both in hardcopies and electronically). •Report weekly & monthly on activities and results to the PC and PM. •Carry on administrative tasks as agreed upon. •Perform any other task as assigned by NRC managements. Experience Required oAt least 3 years experience in participatory programs. oExperience in community sensitization/ mobilization. oAbility to work under pressure Educational Requirements oUniversity education, in Education or in Social Science preferred Additional Qualities a Successful Candidate Should Possess oTeam spirit oFlexibility oStrong communication and organizational skills. oStrong Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
