Logistics Assistant (La)

The Logistics Assistant (LA) is expected to represent Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Lebanon in a respectful and professional manner and always act in accordance with NRC Code of Conduct. The TFC is expected to represent Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Lebanon in a respectful and professional manner and always act in accordance with NRC Code of Conduct JOB PURPOSE managing the transport requirements of NRC’s Tyr office including the day to day management of all vehicles in the NRC fleet and drive NRC’s primary vehicle. In addition, the LA will be assessing local procurement and undertaking administration tasks requiring journeys outside of the office. The LA will also add to his duties security follow-up and other office requirements like purchasing and maintenance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Current Assignments: As Driver (When Needed) (Please refer to the driver’s guide for details) -To be reserve driver in absence of assigned drivers and to drive NRC personnel on official duty and/or cargo to/from the points of destination. Driving shall be conducted in accordance of NRC regulation. -The driver’s licence and other relevant driving papers must always be valid and up to date. -To act as focal point for vehicle and staff tracing board and follow up where necessary. -To take responsibility for the condition of all cars in NRC Tyr Office. Logistics -To maintain and upkeep the office and ensure all services are provided and are sufficient for the Tyr Office. -To create, maintain and update list of useful suppliers -To undertake Inventory, ensure consistency with financial inventory, ensure proper labelling, dispose properly of declassified equipment -To liaise with the administrative Officer to keep track of stationary and to order items when needed this includes items such as printer cartridges, coffee, gas, water, etc…
