Training Coordination Specialist

Chemonics seeks long-term professionals for an anticipated three-year, USAID-funded project under the U.S. government's Focus on Results: Enhancing Capacity Across Sectors in Transition Program. The Lebanon “Expand Your Horizons” project (Tawsee3 el Oufouq’) aims to build the capacity of Lebanese organizations and individuals to act as catalysts for social change through technical, professional, and skills development. This program will support the USAID Mission’s strategy to develop technical skills amongst individuals, professionals, and organizations as means to (1) improve their services, (2) enable them to support democratic change and enhanced governance, and (3) to contribute to economic growth and social stabilization in Lebanon. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for building the capacity of Lebanese organizations and individuals and making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Main responsibilities include: identifying, designing, and coordinating appropriate and measured training opportunities that meet the objectives and knowledge/skills gaps of Expand Your Horizons Program counterparts and beneficiaries. The Training Coordination Specialist will oversee the design and execution of training assessments, participant training processing, training interventions, and follow-up activities throughout the life of the project. Qualifications:  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Master’s degree preferred • Minimum of six years of relevant experience in instructional systems design, capacities development, institutional strengthening, and/or organizational development • Knowledge of USAID procedures and policies, especially those related to ADS 252 and 253 • Experience working with government officials, civil society, and/or private sector representatives at local, regional, and/or national levels • Knowledge of local and regional third-party service providers in training, capacity development, and management consulting • Experience designing and conducting effective needs assessments methodologies • Demonstrated experience with analytical techniques, such as root cause analysis, gap analysis, institutional mapping, and process improvement. • Excellent computer and analytical skills • High degree of professional excellence, transparency in communications, collaboration, and teamwork • Previous supervisory experience preferred • Demonstrated versatility, flexibility, and innovative critical thinking • Preference will be given to candidates who possess experience with USAID’s Human and Institutional Capacity Development (HICD), Human Performance Improvement (HPI) or Human Performance Technology (HPT) methodology • Fluent English
