Business Development Coach (Livelihood For Palestinians Project)

Purpose of Position To build and coach sustainable business networks capable of fostering entrepreneurial capacity, business talent, and ideas in order to improve individual and group economic activities, thereby supporting the  project “Livelihood for Palestinians” in Bourj El Shamali camp. To assist in on putting together projects’ goals that meet World Vision standards and policies in addressing refugees’ needs in a sustainable manner and leave considerable positive impact on the targeted beneficiaries. Major Responsibilities Networking: Create linkages/networks with financial institutions and/or other organizations or bodies that can assist in stimulating or advancing local economic development. Arrange the logistics for monthly meetings and present monthly reports and to the Project Manager Co-ordination of community mobilization, sensitization and awareness creation so that local people can produce more, buy inputs better or sell their products more profitably  Technical: Provide information, resources, data expertise, manuals, contacts and facilitation to clients Conduct business opportunity survey/ mapping Facilitate the development of business management, research and marketing assessment ability by individuals or producer groups Assist the developmental processes of the establishment of enterprises, or producer groups Act as a sounding board and referral agent for income generation/ enterprise/ employment ideas Monitor the progress of initiatives and referrals  Recording/Reporting/Evaluating: Develop a comprehensive database of local networks and services that can assist community members with economic development Conduct baseline assessments of new clients and develop and maintain an effective up to date base that tracks the progress of each towards their goals Conduct a specialized market survey to analyze market demands, feasibility for business, etc…  EDUCATION / SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:             Education Post-graduate or Masters degree in Marketing, Economics, Commerce, Business or related field/s will be highly valued  Knowledge and Skills Practical business knowledge with an emphasis on marketing and/or finance, Financial management skills Highly developed interpersonal skills Motivated and goal orientated Research, monitoring and evaluation skills Ability to work in a team Strong computer literacy skills including MS Office Suite; e-mail and internet  Experience Demonstrated experience in small business development services, small business financing, market analysis, market research. Demonstrated experience in community economic development, community empowerment, working with community based organizations.
