Field Project Coordinator (Life Skills Project)

MAJOR TASKS: Support the project coordinator in the needs assessment to be conducted with teachers, parents, and students to in choosing the appropriate life skills sessions. Monitor progress of teachers in applying the life skills curriculum in identified schools through school monitoring visits. Track and follow-up on parental involvement in the project ensuring that caregivers are able to plan, monitor, and evaluate the children’s life skills activities. Assist in the process of equipping caregivers (parents and teachers) with the capacity to identify and mobilize community resources needed for the implementation of the life skills project. Follow-up on established student socio-cultural clubs in schools and ensure they are running effectively and efficiently. Assist the project coordinator in the process of creating child friendly spaces in schools. Conduct follow-up meetings with schools when necessary. Actively support project coordinator and collaborate with other departments in the Ain el Remaneh Area Development Program when required in project planning, monitoring, and evaluation. Submit monthly and activity reports regularly and on time. Knowledge and Skills Good command of English and Arabic, both oral and written. Good interpersonal skills and cross cultural sensitivity. Creative and initiative taker. Major flexibility in accomplishing tasks. Computer literate in Microsoft Office package. Hold a valid Lebanese driver’s license. Willingness to travel within the country. Willingness to spend 70% of the time in the field and 30% in the office.
