Project Coordinator

DESCRIPTION: 

Main purpose:

Provide support to Akkarouna Akkar branch, ensuring a smooth relation with key figures, partners’, donor and staff members of Akkarouna, contributing to the context analysis and follow-up in order to ensure the smooth running of the project.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure multi-project management and good time allocation for each project in order to ensure proper implementation, Projects are rather small and have limited recourses the project coordinator should be able to manage his time across the available projects assigned for him with the ability to manage and delegate tasks to staff members/stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Monitor and report on key issues (security, risk, etc.) and provide support in analyzing contextual information, through a sound knowledge of counterparts, in different administrations in order to improve decision making processes.
  • File and update field contacts and correspondence (with other NGOs, UN agencies, local authorities, media, etc.) in order to ensure information sources accuracy and its availability on regular basis, while attending partners/donors meeting and facilitating overall partnership and communication
  • Assist in the drafting of correspondences, proposals, minor budgets, concept notes with authorities and counterparts (government officials, UN agencies, NGOs, etc.) in order to ensure fluent and accurate communication flows.
  • Assist in Internal and External Communication sessions and events about Akkar branch.
  • Ensures the continuity of relations with local actors and keeps updated the list of contacts, stakeholders, key figures and focal points.
  • Organize contacts and appointments with partners to ensure the continuity of relations with all actors and involved counterparts.

Internal Accountabilities:

  • Assist the Fin/HR Manager in staff management, when requested.
  • Assist in the reports produced at project level, specific reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Assist during exploratory missions, field visits, etc.
  • Perform any other tasks, as requested

Requirements:

  • Relevant bachelor degree from an accredited institute
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in similar position in an INGO context
  • Ability to manage and communicate effectively with Staff
  • Ability to be the Octopus of Akkarouna projects in Akkar
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
