Quality Assurance Officer (QAO)

Responsibilities include:

 

Reporting to the Programme Manager the QAO shall:

Responsible for evaluation/observation of the operations and provide the PM with a detailed summary of their performance levels.

Conduct daily Quality Assurance visits to all teams and ensure the Site Supervisors and the teams are carrying out drills in accordance with SOP/NMAS.

Will compile daily Quality Assurance reports on visits and provide the PM and OM with regular updates.

Establish and maintain relationships with all organisations (civil, commercial, military or humanitarian) involved in mine actions in the project area.

Act as training advisor to all levels of management and to ensure that training policies decreed by the OM are understood and carried out by all management and team members.

The OAO shall keep a record of the visits and register any advice given and actions taken.

Keep a record of all training carried out by all employees and the training record must be kept up to date and a copy will be held with the employee’s records or as part of training files.

Keep a record of field evaluations/observations of teams and members and a copy is to be kept in the operations office and in the employee’s records file.

Liaise with the RMAC Quality Assurance section and update on NPA site observation visits.

Carry out any other tasks dictated by changing circumstances or required by the OM.

Must have strong leadership skills etc.

Must have excellent communication skills

Must be Fluent in English and Arabic.

Must have the ability to take initiative and follow up on different issues independently.

Ability to prioritize tasks and excellent time management skills.

Strong analytical skills

Has excellent attendance and positive attitude to the job.

High ethical standards in accordance with humanitarian standards and anti-corruption policy

 

 

Other Special Requirements

Accommodation will be provided if needed

Transport for work purposes only will be provided so must have a driving license

Willing to stay in Tyre Monday to Friday and Saturday’s when required

 

Experience required:

Ex-Military person preferable with at least 10 years military experience with rank of Sergeant upwards
