Experienced French Trainer

General description:

Under the guidance and supervision of the Academic Management Team, the French Trainer will be responsible for monitoring the implementation of both the ALP and the Retention Support Program in the selected schools, monitoring the teaching and learning processes, training the teachers and providing coaching support on field visits. The French Trainer will be based in the HQ offices in Beirut.

Job responsibilities

• Attend in-house workshops in relation to the teacher training program.
• Communicate with public school teachers.
• Visit schools in which the program is being implemented to ensure that ALLC’s procedures, approaches and values are being complied with.
• Ensure the schedule of classes are held, ensure the availability of supplies, facilitate the coordination of all program activities in the assigned school, and generally being the front-line of ALLC in each school.
• Support monitoring and evaluation as requested by the Headquarters team.
• Prepare for Headquarters team meetings and field visits.
• Coach teachers in effective implementation of the program.
• Provide administrative support to teachers and the Headquarters team.
• Follow up on student improvement.
• Report to the Academic Management Team in terms of teachers and students performance and issues; report problems encountered or envisaged discrepancies immediately.
• Conduct awareness sessions and facilitate community events, as requested.
• Visit classes in different locations and give feedback to teachers upon instructions by Academic Management Team.
• Prepare and submit reports to Academic Management Team on the field visits.
• Perform other admin duties as required or assigned.
• Deliver teacher training sessions as requested.
• Translate academic documents from English to French as requested.
• Attend meetings and training sessions regionally and centrally as requested.
• Perform your duties as per TOR and SOP guidelines by AMT and PM.
