Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI) is a non-profit, non-political and non religious humanitarian NGO. Its objective is to bring about a global response to the basic needs of populations suffering from acute humanitarian crisis and to allow them to recover their autonomy and dignity. In close respect to humanitarian principles, PU-AMI promotes humanitarian access and dialogue with all components of the civil society in Lebanon, and delivers assistance based on the needs, regardless of religion, politics and ethnic matters.
Today, PU-AMI is intervening in 21 countries in Africa, the Near East, Caucasus, Asia and the Caribbean to cover the needs of populations affected by conflict, natural disasters or economic crises.
PU-AMI in Lebanon has been implementing emergency and recovery projects in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, in Shelter Rehabilitation, Health and in Livelihood Recovery sectors.

OVERALL MISSION
- GENERAL OBJECTIVE
Under the direct supervision of the Food Security & Livelihoods Project Manager, the Food Security & Livelihoods Team Leader participates in the overall coordination and implementation of the project activities. S/he coordinates and monitors the work of all Field Officers/Workers dedicated to these activities and s/he is responsible for qualitative and regular reporting on various components of the project.
- RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assessment, design and implementation
- Report the needs of the beneficiaries in terms of Food security and livelihoods
- Coordinate the field implementation of the e-cards and vouchers distributions
- Participate in the evaluation of needs in the area of implementation
- Analysis, Monitoring & Evaluation
- Coordinate the collection of the requested data for all program components according to requirements
- Team Management & Capacity building
- Coordinate the work of all Field Officers/Workers dedicated to these activities: weekly/daily planning explained during weekly/daily team meetings, daily planning prepared the previous day at the latest, in order to maximize the Field Officers/Workers’ efficiency.
- Manage the Food Security & Livelihoods Officers/Workers working on the Food Security & Livelihoods activities in the supported facilities and in the communities
- Regularly monitor Food Security & Livelihoods Field Officers/Workers’ tasks by constantly visiting the areas of intervention and getting feedback when not directly on the field
- To train new Food Security & Livelihoods Field Officers/Workers on the activities implemented in the framework of the project
- To solve team conflicts, if any, and ensure team building
- To support each Food Security & Livelihoods Field Officer/Worker in improving his/her performance
- Follow-up the operational team according to the mission’s HR policy and guideline: daily management, attendance, holiday management, etc.
- To ensure performance evaluation of the operational staff on a regular basis (every 6 months) with the support of the PM
- To ensure the respect and application of disciplinary rules as per PU-AMI’s HR policy
- To identify training needs for the team and communicate them to the PM
- Logistics & administration
- Define the needs in materials and tools regarding the program and the planning of interventions
- Ensure the follow-up and the proper use of materials and tools used during on-site works
- Manage the supply of materials to the work site in collaboration with logistics department
- Request to the PM any logistic need for activities implementation
- Inform the Project Manager on security incidents
- Communication & Reporting
- Collect all information and orally report on the progress of project activities on a daily basis
- Deliver written reports when needed and requested by the Project Manager
- Report immediately any delay, problem or other relevant information to the Food Security & Livelihoods Project Manager
- Participate in the liaison with local authorities, NGOs and other stakeholders under delegation from the Project Manager

- PRIORITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT
The priorities of Food Security & Livelihood department in Beirut Mount Lebanon is to develop projects targeting vulnerable Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese through cash for work activities. Food for asset is the methodology proposed to WFP donor for this project.
QUALIFICATIONS
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Language skills: Fluent in Arabic and English (speaking/reading/writing)
- Education degree: University degree in Food Security, project management, social science, public health or related fields
- Work experience: 2 year of experience in a similar position (NGOs/private companies) in food security and livelihoods sector or other related humanitarian fields
- Computer skills: Very Good knowledge of the MS office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
