Background and Purpose of Work
Mercy Corps is a humanitarian organization and have been implementing the Youth for Tomorrow (YFT) Programme - funded by the Government of Canada - in Mount Lebanon, Saida, and Tripoli since January 2017. As part of the protection, psychosocial support, and skills improvement intervention in these areas, Mercy Corps is in need of enumerators to assist in data collection for a Community Baseline Survey (referred to as ‘survey’ from now on) in order to further understand about the communities’ perceptions of i) the levels of access to safe places for adolescents and youths where they can learn, play, grow and develop; and ii) the role of adolescents and youth in their communities.
The survey will be conducted in a digital format on tablets. Enumerators will receive 2-day training from Mercy Corps on the survey tool, good practices for conducting surveys, and how to generally fulfill the scope of work prior to carrying out the surveys over the course of 7 days.
Enumerators will be supported by a supervisor who will plan daily movements, provide assistance as needed and monitor daily activities.
