The child protection field officer must be responsible for the implementation of the child protection programme. The child protection officer will work to ensure that all the activities in the programme are carried out and that monitoring processes are in place.
Scope of Work:
- Supervise the performance of Child Protection social workers , case workers and animators involved in the program and working with children, adolescents and caregivers to deliver psychosocial wellbeing and case management.
- Ensure a smooth exchange between LebRelief child protection team, beneficiaries and the community and providing technical support as needed.
- Ensure quality and minimum child protection standards are implemented and respected in all activities, including child safeguarding policy.
- Arrange and ensure that all procurement requests and plans are being delivered as per the requirements of the team.
- Create and update of activity plans per activity/programme site and communicate the targets, programme objectives and activity plans clearly to children, adolescents and caregivers at large ensuring they are well understood among the social workers, case workers and animators.
- Establishing and maintaining a monthly work and weekly plan which will include weekly monitoring visits to all locations where activities are implemented.
- Liaise with local institutions, such as SDCs and municipalities to ensure systems building at the regional level.
- Report on weekly, monthly bases the target reached and the area of implementation, and challenges faced during the implementation.
- Ensure a strict adherence to the principles of Child Protection at all times, including respect for confidentiality.
- Work closely with all teams, with particular focus on education and Food Security and Livelihood team to ensure program integration.
- Attend child protection working groups, meetings and trainings to ensure an up to date cognition on the child protection policies.
- Ensure that all data needed by the partners are being filled and submitted on time on weekly or monthly basis.
- Any other related activities as per request of the Child Protection Officer, Coordinator and/or Programme Manager

- Fluent in written and spoken Arabic, good written and spoken English and/or French.
- Flexibility and willingness to change work practices and hours and capability to work in an insecure and volatile environment.
