Deputy Chief of Party and Technical Specialists - Lebanon Community Support Program

Chemonics International, an international development firm based in Washington, D.C., seeks technical specialists for the anticipated USAID/Lebanon Community Support Program. This five-year project aims to support municipalities and underserved and vulnerable communities in providing better services and enhanced economic opportunities to improve lives and reduce tensions that contribute to conflict and violence in Lebanon. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Fluency in English is required for all positions.

Deputy Chief of Party

• Serve as an engaged leader of the project’s technical work, overseeing components of the project’s activities and assisting with the management of project technical staff.
• Advanced degree (or foreign equivalent) in international development, economics, public administration, political science, or related area of study or equivalent work experience.
• Five (5) years or more of progressively responsible work experience in managing or implementing development programs preferably in Lebanon.
• Knowledge of relevant technical areas such as local governance and working with vulnerable communities
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations with government officials, private sector stakeholders, and local civil society organizations
• English language proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing
