Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Development Officer for DRR

Program learning development

Evaluate and identify individual and program development needs

Implement various learning methods program-wide for staff and volunteers

Assess the success of development plans

Develop methods for data file formatting, data analysis methodologies, and management reporting

Identify data collection tools, data sources, benchmarks, and performance targets

Implement major changes in all aspects of operation

Prepare, update and develop all documents, presentations and tools related to DRR project

Handle the learning and professional development of the program.

Equip staff with the analysis, knowledge, practical skills and prepares briefs on disasters in the region, organize meetings/teleconference on crisis

Assess the skills and knowledge within the program and determine what training is needed to grow and retain these skills. Manages the delivery of trainings for new volunteers and staff

Research new tools and methodologies and presenting it to the team

Review objectives and specifications; evaluating proposed changes; recommending changes; making modifications.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

Strategic planning of the program and proposal revision and development

Prepare reference for users (volunteers and staff) by writing operating instructions and process for performance improvement

Collate and disseminate best practices, success stories and data analysis

 

Monitoring and evaluation

Provide high quality technical input into inclusive program and project development processes, particularly on logic of intervention (Theory of Change, logical frameworks and MEAL plans), with an emphasis on ensuring sound understanding of how changes happen and sound program logic and objective setting that is informed by contextual information

Provide guidance to and support program Managers in ensuring that program quality is embedded in activities being implemented

Develop and coordinate MEAL strategies (frameworks and tools) and systems - including the definition of specific processes, methodologies and tools– and provide technical advice and support for the teams

Ensure and coordinate the implementation of M&E activities

Ensure and coordinate project targets are being met and oversees the overall monitoring

 

Data visualization, communication and reporting

Prepare, update and develop all documents, presentations and tools related to DRR project

Coordinate the development IEC material in coordination with PM

Report for external donors/ partners/ stakeholders in coordination with PM

Approve program related content before its dissemination in coordination with PM

 

Assist in program management

Assists DRR manager in program management

Plan for project in coordination with PM

Support PM on strategic decisions
