Project Manager

We are looking for an ambitious Project Manager to over-see and manage all of SHIFT Social Innovation Hub's projects. As a leading figure you will strategically be guiding SHIFT's team towards effectively achieving project objectives and potential while abiding to SHIFTs mission and ethics. You will be joining the Hub at an exceptionally exciting time as we develop as a social innovation hub and expand delivery of our programes internationally. The Project manager will be responsible for managing all projects and their assigned team members, therefore you must be able to guide a team and provide team support, motivation and conflict management when necessary. You will be expected to ensure that all project goals are met while coordinating with the other necessary departments and projects. The basic functions of the position include: managing all projects, coordination and project assistance, watching over each project and ensuring that project goals are being met on schedule and team members are successfully completing their tasks accordingly, preparing project reports, thinking of cost effective and creative ways to reach project's full potential within the provided budget, ensuring each project is provided with the necessary funds, being able to coordinate with other departments for project approvals, issues and funds. This position has growth potential within the organization.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

 

  • Manage SHIFT projects through: planning meetings, developing quarterly and annual work plans and corresponding budgets, setting outputs and over-viewing efficient implementation.

 

  • Assess the projects performance and validate that they align with SHIFTS over-all objectives and plans.

 

  • Ensure effective project reporting and maintain constant communication with the Executive Director and Programs’ Manager.

 

  • Provide lessons learned and suggest development plans and future steps to better enhance project productivity and delivery.

 

  • Ensure implementation and monitoring of projects, through regular reporting from team members, extensive field visits and project locations

 

  • Develop corrective measures and strategies to respond to obstacles, changes and risks

 

  • Work closely with Programs’ Manager by suggesting new programs, new staff hire, and report arising opportunities and obstacles.

 

Required Expertise and Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Other relevant field or equivalent.

- At least 3- 5 years of professional experience in a similar function, experience with other I/NGOs is an asset.

- Excellent command in oral and written Arabic and English

- Strong analytic and conceptual skills

- Elevated sense of organization
