Placement Officer

MISSION

Under the responsibility of the project manager for the short trainings in the Bekaa region in Lebanon, the placement officer will have the task to insure the following functions:

1/ Provide support for professional integration

  • Creation of a network of business partners, companies, small business owners, etc. to place beneficiaries
  • Identify employment and internship opportunities at the end of the training, in conjunction with the Orientation and Employment Offices and in conjunction with partner associations and the corporate network.

2/ Follow-up of beneficiaries

  • Permanently ensure the interface with the students and especially in case of difficulties or problems
  • Ensure the follow-up of the beneficiaries after the training: measure of the insertion rate, animate a network of alumni, keep contact with beneficiaries, etc.
  • Create impact measurement tools to assess project success in terms of beneficiaries employment.

 

PROFILE

Education: Higher education (bachelor or master degree)

Experience: 2 to 5 years, whether in the private, public or in a civil society organization

  • Previous experience in the human resource sector and/or business sector is a plus.
  • Working experience in a multicultural context

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Arabic language (oral / written) mandatory
  • Good writing skills in French and/or in English
  • Good representation ability vis-à-vis various partners
  • Good ability to work on Excel and Word
  • Competency in organization and ability to do multitasking

Qualities: 

  • Capable of having good relationship with vulnerable and disadvantaged populations
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, good representation ability vis-à-vis public and private partners
  • Autonomy, dynamism, proactivity and flexibility
  • Organizational skills and human relations competency
  • Team work
  • Adherence to IECD values: respect to the human person, the spirit of service, a professional commitment
