Organizational Leadership

Course Description:

This course is concerned with developing a full understanding of the leadership phenomenon with concentration on the major function of effective leaders; proper communication. Organizations are facing tough challenges on various facets of the business world. This has necessitated the uprising of a different caliber of managers; unique leaders.

To become a leader, a person has to develop certain qualities, master several skills, and adopt certain behaviors. The aim of this course is to present a series of steps starting with understanding leadership, to what leaders do, and ending up with the functions of the effective leader.

Course  Objectives:

1. Develop a full understanding of leadership and distinguish it from management
2. Identifying the leaders traits, skills, styles, and behavior
3. Learning what effective leadership is and becoming unique leaders
4. Realizing the dark side of leadership and avoiding the pitfalls
5. Exercising strategic leadership and applicability of its different concepts
6. Mastering effective communication skills that all true leaders should enjoy
