Mobilization campaign Team Leader

Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI) is a non-profit, non-political and non religious humanitarian NGO. Its objective is to bring about a global response to the basic needs of populations suffering from acute humanitarian crisis and to allow them to recover their autonomy and dignity.

 

Today, PU-AMI is intervening in 21 countries in Africa, the Near East, Caucasus, Asia and the Caribbean to cover the needs of populations affected by conflict, natural disasters or economic crises.

 

PU-AMI in Lebanon has been implementing emergency and recovery projects in infrastructure, in Shelter Rehabilitation, Health and in Livelihood Recovery sectors.

               

POSITION GENERAL INFORMATION

 

  • Position: Mobilization campaign Team Leader

Supervision

 

  • Under the direct supervision of:       Infrastructure PM
  • Supervision of  :                                        Community field officer
  • Under the overall supervision of:    Deputy Field Coordinator

 

OVERALL MISSION

 

General objective

 

Under the direct supervision of the infrastructure project manager, the Mobilization campaign Team Leader is responsible for the qualitative, quantitative and timely implementation of all the mobilization campaign activities. He/she coordinates and monitors the work of all Community Field Officers, and community mobilizers and he/she is responsible for a qualitative and regular reporting on various components of the project.

 

 

 

Responsibilities and tasks

 

  • Activities implementation
  • Supervise and coordinate the field implementation of all program activities;
  • Plan (daily and weekly) the field activities, supervise Community Field Officers, and community mobilizers and ensure a follow-up of the different activities regarding the agreed planning, guideline, and required quality of the works;
  • Give an expertise and contribute to the improvement of activities through critics, analysis and suggestions
  • Liaise with municipalities and North Lebanese Water Establishment

 

  • Assessment, monitoring & evaluation of activities
  • Assess regularly the mobilization campaign implementation and determine adjustment needs;
  • Collect any relevant information from the communities
  • Analyze and monitor the results of the mobilization campaign activities.

 

  • Community mobilization
  • Responsible of the communication between PU-AMI and the Communities regarding the implementation of the mobilization campaign
  • Organize and supervise the perception survey activities by community field officer and community mobilizers
  • Organize and supervise information sessions implemented by community field officer and community mobilizers

 

  • Team Management
  • Supervise the  community field officer and community mobilizers
  • To manage the community field officer and community mobilizers working on the mobilization campaign activities in the supported facilities and in the communities;
  • To coordinate the work of all community field officer and community mobilizers dedicated to these activities : weekly/daily planning explain during weekly/daily team meetings, daily planning prepared at least the day before to maximize the officers’s efficiency.

 

  • Capacity building
  • To do regular monitoring of community field officer and community mobilizers’ work by constantly visiting the areas of intervention and getting feedback when not directly on the field
  • To train new community field officer and community mobilizers on the activities implemented in the framework of the project.
  • To solve team conflicts, if any, and ensure team building
  • To support each community field officer and community mobilizers in improving his/her performance
  • Develop any pedagogical and methodological tools adapted to the local context.

 

  • Logistic & administration
  • Define the needs in materials and tools regarding the program and the planning of interventions in link with the infrastructure project manager;
  • Ensure the follow-up and the proper use of materials and tools used during on-site works;
  • Manage the supply of materials to the work site in collaboration with logistics department;
  • Use the PU-AMI forms for all exchange with the logistic & administration services;
  • Analyze the security situation in the area and inform the Infrastructure project manager.

 

  • Reporting
  • Collect all information and orally reports on the progress of the mobilization campaign
  • Make a weekly report in English on the progress of activities;
  • Report immediately any delay, problem or other relevant information to the Field Implementation Manager;

QUALIFICATIONS

Mandatory requirements

  • Language skills: Fluent in Arabic and English (speaking/reading/writing)
  • Education degree: Baccalaureate/University degree in water supply, sanitation, infrastructures, construction works, health, social or medical sciences
  • Work experience: 2 years experience in a similar position (NGOs/private companies) in WASH fields
  • Computer skills: Good knowledge of the MS office software including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Other:
    • High knowledge in one of the WASH pillar
    • Good management and pedagogical skills
    • Good knowledge of North Governorate, willing to travel a lot locally and valid driving license
    • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills to manage relationship in potentially tense situations
