'Trainer of Trainers' Associate, USAID BALADI CAP, Beirut, Lebanon

Project Summary: 

BALADI CAP is a five (5)-year technical assistance program funded by USAID/Lebanon that advances the institutional capacities of Lebanese civil society organizations (CSOs) and municipalities/unions to improve the delivery of services to local citizens.

Position Summary:

MSI is seeking candidates for the short-term position of ‘trainer of trainers’ associate.

Responsibilities:

During the period of performance, the short-term technical associate will perform the following activities in close coordination and cooperation with the BALADI CAP chief of party and project team:

Develop and deliver training of trainers (ToT) to a group of up to 78 trainers for 26 CSOs across Lebanon. The purpose of these trainings is to further increase the capacity and expertise of the trainers on policies and procedures developed under the assistance of BALADI CAP. The associate will also develop the training methodologies, as part of a ToT approach to project sustainability.

Work with high capacity individuals within these 26 CSOs to improve their ability to train and transfer knowledge acquired through the capacity building assistance received from BALADI CAP. In particular, the trainers should be able to train their peers and other individuals, within or outside their organizations, on the policies and procedures developed for financial management, organizational development, and monitoring and evaluation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in management, public policy, or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in delivering training-of-trainers.

Previous experience working with CSOs (preferably Lebanese CSOs).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Fluency in English and Arabic required.
