The life skills curriculum development consultant will be responsible of developing life skills curriculum and materials that will be used by DRC livelihoods, protection and community empowerment programs, to train DRC beneficiaries on life skills like: negotiation, confidence building, basic financial literacy, social networking, and communication skills.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
• Review of existing approaches, curricula in use in DRC Lebanon and secondary data relevant to the area of implementation
• Discuss possible approaches and curricula with other sector like protection and community empowerment
• Field visit and discussions with community members, beneficiaries and caregivers
• In discussion with project staff, agree the life skills that are important in the Lebanon context in general and the North of Lebanon in particular and present an outline of the curriculum (contents, delivery and timeframe) to DRC for feedback before building the content
• Test the curriculum at community level with field staff and train key field staff.
• Prepare the final copy based on the feedback and field testing result
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have a Bachelor in Education, Social work, Entrepreneurship, or another related field
Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
• At Least 4 years’ relevant experience
• Excellent level of written and spoken proficiency in English and Arabic languages
• Demonstrable experience in developing similar products and training materials for project related to youth, gender and/or vocational / technical skills training programs
• Experience and understanding of the issues facing youth and refugees in Lebanon
• Excellent computer skills and experience in editing, formatting, and polishing large documents
• Experience in conducting ToT
• Experience with layout and design

- Basic Salary: As per SOP 100 USD per Day
