Call For Apprenticeship Application


Within the scope of CARE’s work it focuses on empowering and meeting the needs of women and girls and promoting gender equality.
 
CARE International in Lebanon is part of a consortium, which is running a project focusing on local economic empowerment and development to enhance resilience and social stability funded by the Australian government DFAT. Under the DFAT consortium, CARE International is working to match micro, small and medium enterprises with semi- skilled youth.
 
CARE is aiming to support a total of 175 entrepreneurial youth with a four month paid apprenticeship at these enterprises. This project targets both Syrian, Lebanese, males, and females (SGBV survivors). The apprentice is expected to complete, at least, 60 hrs per month (15 hours per week).
 
This project focuses on semi skilled youth graduated from skills development courses living in Mount Lebanon and Tripoli. The Sectors Targeted are: all skills development majors (Electricians, Sanitary Works, Heating and Cooling, makeup, health, construction, etc.), hospitality, food processing, and the manufacturing industry.

 
Note: Applications will be evaluated accordingly. The selected applicants’ placement will be done through a matching process based on the availability and needs of the enterprises.
