Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Provide technical guidance, on the job training, coaching and mentoring to the PSS team on CP, PSS and GBV minimum standards.
- Ensure the team is trained and provide coaching on PSS toolkits, approaches and curricula for caregivers, children and adolescent boys.
- Ensure that all spaces where activities are implemented meet interagency standards for safe spaces whether mobile or center-based.
- Ensure the quality of psychosocial support activities both community-based and CP case management, in a timely and efficient manner with the support of a partner staff.
- Ensure that child protection caseworkers provide CP case management in compliance with best-practice and international standards in CP response and in adherence to the principles and guidance of the National CP Case Management SOPs.
- Track capacity building needs of each staff member in the PSS team and establish capacity building plan.
- Efficiently manage the time and schedule of the teams in mobile and center-based locations.
- Hold weekly team meetings to discuss challenges and successes faced in implementation.
- Observe community based PSS activities at least two days a week and provide technical guidance on community-based protection.
- Ensuring that community-based groups meet a minimum amount of referrals to case management and focused PSS/community-based PSS on a monthly basis.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have a Bachelor in social work, counseling, Psychology Child Development or other related field
Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
- At least 3 years of experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings, specifically in child protection of GBV sectors
- Excellent knowledge of Child Protection, PSS key messages and GBV minimum standards and basic principles
- Experience managing teams
- Experience providing on the job coaching and mentoring and building capacity of staff
- Excellent knowledge of safe identification and referral principles
- Good knowledge of GBV and Child Protection case management
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times
- Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
