Community mobilizer - Beirut

SCOPE OF WORK:
The Community Mobilizer’s responsibility is to assist the psychologist in conducting Focused Psycho Social Support sessions with groups of children aged between 6 and 17 years old in Beirut. The community mobilizer will be working closely with the Psychologist as well as with the field coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in trainings on the Focused Psycho Social Support (FPSS) Curriculum and the Structured Psycho Social Support (SPSS) curriculums;
• Stick with the annual plan set with project coordinator;
• Assist the psychologist in providing FPSS and SPSS activities to children, adolescents and caregivers based on specialized developed tools including the Citadel of Protection toolkit, SRHR toolkit, life skills, FPSS Curriculum, etc.;
• Provide schedule of activities on weekly/ monthly basis;
• Raise logistics and technical challenges;
• Fill reports upon completion of each cycle of activities and upon request according to the UNICEF reporting system;
• Refer cases received while conducting activities or from committee members and follow up on their referral;
• Maintain a database on referred cases and their follow up;
• Maintain good relations with local implementing actors, local authorities and other international and local stakeholders;
• Meet external requests in terms of events and awareness sessions sent to KAFA by schools, universities and other organizations;
• Attend internal and external coordination meetings when required.

SKILLS:
 

1. Proven experience in providing sessions on GBV and Child Protection risks;
2. Knowledge of GBV and Child Protection concepts;
3. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work;
4. Attention to detail and problem solving skills;
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
6. Strong organizational and planning skills;
7. Team work skills.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS:
While working on a KAFA project, it is required to sign KAFA’s Child Protection Policy.
