Outreach Assistant - North

Main RESPONSABILITIES

• following outreach strategy in the region and referred to specific project's objectives and target according the selection criteria
• Work with the communities for the identification and enrollment of adolescents and children in the educational and vocational activities.
• Conduct Field visits to the communities, ITSs and Collective shelters in cooperation with project team to define the needs and identify new beneficiaries.
• Preparation of outreach work and conduct frequent outreach visit with identified communities.
• Support monitoring and evaluation activities and all activity report.
• Record and maintain project specific field documents.
• Assist in conducting regular assessments and producing relevant reports (including focus group discussions, questionnaires, etc.).
• Carry out data collection (Survey and Focus group discussion)
• Prepare field reports
• Develop and reinforce relation with stakeholders, INGO,Local Ngo and community resources through conducting informative session and focus grooup discussion at least 1  session per month. (produce relevant FGreport)
• Capacity building to volunteers,engage at least 1 volunteer from the beneficiaries in peer to peer info session
• Refer to the protection officers cases in need of tailored support that can't be offered within the services provided by the consortium activities or present in the area of intervention
• Actualize and mantain update contact list of directory of agencies, local and international NGO for effective referral mechanism
• Establish a good relation with the municipalities, stakeholders and the local authorities
• Perform any other relevant duties as required.

  STUDIES REQUIREMENTS

• At least hold a Bachelor degree in relevant field like sociology, Education and livelihood or equivalent field experience.
• Have at least two years work experience in similar position.
• Demonstrable competencies in interview or communication with the community
• Knowledge in the livelihood and education sector

  EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  Have at least two years work experience in similar position.

   

  OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of working with local Government bodies and community.
• Skill in organizing work of self and others.
• Good  communication  and  inter-personal  skills,  team  player,  able  to  work  under  minimal  supervision.
• Proficient with Microsoft office package
