Course Description:
This course provides up-dated information and valuable knowledge on good practice for the wide range of nonprofit who involve volunteers in their activities. It will examine all the stages of volunteer management from drawing up policies and preparing for volunteers to recruitment, selection, induction and training, day to day volunteer management and dealing with any problems that might arise.
Course Learning Objectives:
- Develop a full understanding on how to manage volunteers.
- Identifying the volunteer motives, strengths and weaknesses.
- Understanding the benefits of managing volunteers.
- Developing policies and procedures for volunteers.
- Study and practice the recruitment stages and interview techniques.
- Identifying the induction and training process.
- Understanding day to day volunteer management and the problems that might arise.
