Trainings Coordinator - Short Vocational Training Project

MISSION

 

Under the responsibility of the short training project manager in the South, the training coordinator will be responsible for the following functions:

 

1/ Select beneficiaries

  • Assist in the selection process: communication on the project (relations with other NGOs, relations with referrals in the communities in order to set up recruitment channels), reception and analysis of candidacies (registration of candidates, verification of criteria of eligibility ...)
  • Select the beneficiaries (selections take place during the 2 weeks preceding the start of the training and allow to evaluate the level of the candidates and especially their motivations, 20 candidates are selected for each training)

 

2/ Prepare the training of trainers

  • Plan the course of the training by articulating the modules with pedagogy and coherence
  • Write the program of the training and submit it for validation from the person responsible for the training
  • plan the necessary equipment in accordance with the given budget
  • Prepare the tools for evaluating the trainers: elaboration of a grid of satisfaction of the beneficiaries, follow-up on the trainings, capitalization on handouts, etc.

 

 

3/ Prepare the content of the training in relation with the experts

  • Prepare the objectives of the session and its progress and completion
  • Prepare the training planning for trainers and the schedule for students
  • Prepare the program of sessions on the personal development of beneficiaries (based on existing IECD materials)

 

4/ Organize and structure trainings

  • Prepare and insure the follow up and reception of orders for materials and technical equipment before each session
  • Prepare all the necessary documents for the training sessions (such as attendance sheets, transcripts, handouts and written and corrected evaluations)
  • Participate in the preparation of weekly reports for the team and the trainers (Writing of the reports is done from the communication booklets and from meetings with students and trainers)

 

5/ Follow-up of trainers during training

  • Be in constant contact with trainers
  • Attend periodically training sessions
  • Supervise the quality of the trainings (based on the communication booklet, the contact with the beneficiaries and the final training report)

 

6/ Follow-up of beneficiaries

  • Permanently ensure the interface with the students and especially in case of difficulties or problems
  • Ensure the follow-up of the beneficiaries after the training: measure of the insertion rate, animate a network of alumni, etc.

 

7/ Provide support for professional integration

  • Create a network of partner companies
  • Identify employment and internship opportunities at the end of the training, in conjunction with the Orientation and Employment Offices and in conjunction with partner associations and the corporate network
  • PROFILE

    Education: Higher education (bachelor or master)    

    Experience: 2 to 5 years, whether in the private, public or in an civil society organization

  • Previous experience of project management preferably in the social domain
  • Working experience in a multicultural context
  • Be ready to enter Palestinian Camps (Ain El Hilweh) and other sensitive areas.
  • Skills:

  • Proficiency in the Arabic language (oral / written) mandatory
  • Good writing skills in French and / or in English
  • Ease of work on Excel is required
  • Understanding and / or appeal for education and vocational training issues
  • Good interpersonal skills, good representation of trainers and beneficiaries, good contact with disadvantaged young people
  •  Qualities:

  • Autonomy, dynamism, force of proposition, proactivity; Responsiveness and flexibility
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to manage intercultural relations
  • Sense of organization, human relations and teamwork
  • Adherence to IECD values: respect to the human person, the spirit of service, a professional commitment

    CONDITIONS

     

    Under the responsibility of: the project manager of short trainings in south Lebanon

    Location: Based in Saïda

    Starting date: February 2017, for 1 year renewable

    Contract: Fixed-term contract (one-year contract)
