Excel Trainer for an Accounting Course (National Contract)

About the job 

The role of the Excel Trainer is to provide the trainees with the required basic Excel and software knowledge to complement the accounting course, follow up attendance, assess learning effectiveness, and perform daily tasks.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

• Participate in the development of the curriculum and syllabus. 

• Plan and prepare well-structured, clearly presented lessons appropriate to the abilities of all students and the syllabus being taught. Implement trainee-centered teaching methods, and diverse teaching techniques to encourage participation. 

• Ensure that the lessons are planned and delivered in a highly participative and interactive manner and responsive to the request and suggestions of the students; 

• Create lesson plans, presentations, visual aids and other training materials as required stating the objectives of each method used and respecting the developed curriculum. 

• Maintain a safe and effective teaching / learning environment during the sessions and report any incident to DRC Livelihood staff. 

• Prepare classroom and coursework materials, homework assignments, and handouts. 

• Mixed classes of Youth and Adults (18-50 years old), Lebanese and Syrians, Male and Female. 

• Provide weekly reports to measure progress, identify barriers to learning and recommend action to overcome barriers;

About you 

To be successful in this role we expect you to have a Bachelor Degree. Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required  

• Minimum of 1-year experience teaching in NGOs. 

• Demonstrated understanding of working with vulnerable trainees from different backgrounds

We offer 

  • Contract length: until 15 July 2018 (3 or 4 days per week) for a total period of 20 hours 
  • Level: Trainer 
  • Salary: 10 USD/hour 
  • Duty Station: Tripoli 
  • Start date: May 2018
