Accounting Trainer (National Contract)

About the job 

The role of the Accounting Trainer is to provide the trainees with the required basic accounting knowledge, follow up attendance, assess learning effectiveness, and perform daily tasks. 

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

• Plan and prepare well-structured, clearly presented lessons appropriate to the abilities of all students and the syllabus being taught. Implement trainee-centered teaching methods, and diverse teaching techniques to encourage participation. 

• Participate in the preparation of a 60 hours’ curriculum and Syllabus that satisfy the objectives of the course and include basic accounting principles topics as follows: ( go to https://candidate.hr-manager.net/ApplicationInit.aspx?cid=1036&ProjectI… )

 • Ensure that the lessons are planned and delivered in a highly participative and interactive manner and responsive to the request and suggestions of the students; 

• Create lesson plans, presentations, visual aids and other training materials as required stating the objectives of each method used and respecting the developed curriculum. 

• Provide weekly reports to measure progress, identify barriers to learning and recommend action to overcome barriers;  

• Prepare classroom and coursework materials, homework assignments, and handouts. 

• Develop a midterm and a final exam to evaluate the learning effectiveness.  

• Support DRC staff in developing the pre and post-tests.

Target Audience: 

• Vulnerable beneficiaries selected by DRC,  

• Mixed classes of Youth and Adults (18-50 years old), Lebanese and Syrians, Male and Female.

About you

• To be successful in this role we expect you to have a Bachelor Degree  

Moreover, we also expect the following:  

Required: 

• 1 to 2 years’ experience teaching in NGOs 

• Demonstrated understanding of working with vulnerable trainees from different backgrounds. 

Desirable:  

• Experience working as an accountant in the private sector is a plus.

We offer 

  • Contract length: 1 month and a half, 3 or 4 days a week, for a total period of 60 hours 
  • Level: Trainer 
  • Salary: 12.5 USD/hour 
  • Duty Station: Tripoli 
  • Start date: May 2018
