Private Sector Assistant

Main RESPONSABILITIES

• Plan and monitor the activities following the methodologies set by the livelihood department respecting the logistical, administrative and communication processes;
• Conduct outreach in the regions of intervention and develop relationships with private companies available to offer internship positions and job placement for students;
• Create active links between schools and Ministry of Agriculture’s personnel and private companies to reinforce employability of students
• Liaise with Technical officers for the relationship with schools’ directors, tutors and teachers to strengthen engagement of schools in supporting students accessing internship opportunities
• Follow up the beneficiaries during the internships.
• Insure follow up of the beneficiaries after the internship in order to track youth development;
• Support development of comprehensive evaluation and monitoring tools to measure the impact of internship placements on the employability of students
• Provide monthly quantitative and narrative reports to the PS coordinator  
• Collaborate with the M&E department and facilitate data collection through different the M&E tools (Focus group discussion, surveys, database…)    
• Represent AVSI in the regional meetings upon request
• Demonstrate an understanding of the integrated approach of the program;
• Perform any other relevant duties as required.

STUDIES REQUIREMENTS

University degree

Specialization in International Cooperation / Economy / Agriculture will be an asset

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

One year experience in development projects / in agriculture private company will be an asset

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Arabic Mother tongue

Good Knowledge of English and French
