The Adolescent Girls’ Safe space and GBV Team Leader will be responsible to manage the activities carried out in static and mobile adolescent girls’ safe spaces in Tyre and Saida. The position will require effective planning, implementation and supervision of the safe space team as well as good coordination skills. The Adolescent Girls’ Safe space and GBV Team Leader works in close collaboration with the other members of the Child Protection team (Case Management advisor, Case Management Team Leader and the psychologist) and ensures that trends and challenges in the safe spaces are properly communicated and documented. The team leader is also acting as a focal point for the research on early marriage which is currently carried out.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Directly supervise the safe space team, including case workers, PSS facilitators and community facilitators
- Ensure strong cohesion within the team
- Ensure strong coordination and links between team members
- Organise staff schedules and monitor their time management
- Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit
- Ensure timely completion and submission of monthly timesheets, probation reviews and annual performance reviews.
- Ensure that the safe space team is effectively implementing interventions according to the agreed guidelines,
- Lead on a mapping of services for adolescent girls
- Provide technical support, training and guidance on all aspects related to GBV and empowerment of girls across the delegation
- Collaborate with other staff members in order to ensure that GBV is considered in all interventions
- Act as a focal point for the research on early marriage carried out by a consultant from a University
- Conduct regularly field visits to properly monitor and support the team
- Identify gaps, needs, challenges and propose solutions to the Area Manager
- Be the direct support to field staff leading in managing targets, shape action plan
- Ensure that filing in the office is properly done.
- Know and comply with the budgetary framework of his/her activities in close coordination and under supervision of the Area Manager
- Share with the Area Manager useful information for drawing up the budget
- Submit purchase requests to the Area Manager according to procedure and authorization level.
- Prepare store requests according to needs
- Ensure fleet usage is managed properly with close coordination among different teams (
- Ensure the SGBV Task force monitoring tools and safety audits are properly applied
- Report on Activity info
- Compile safe space team monthly reports and provide a report to the area manager
- Contribute to the quarterly donor reports
- Ensure confidentiality and that data protection and information-sharing protocols are respected.
- Support the team to link with other teams to ensure a comprehensive answer to needs.
- Closely coordinate with the technical department for all matters related to Coaching and technical support.
- Contribute to the development of proposal activities in relation to case management
- Actively engage in all capacity building opportunities including formal trainings, on the job coaching and peer to peer sessions.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop Tdh programs
- Respects the Tdh Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP)

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social sciences, Public Health, International Development or other relevant field of study.
- At least 3 years of experience as a team leader in an NGO, preferably in GBV programs;
- 3-5 years of experience in GBV and protection programming, including GBV, early marriage, women’s voice and/or economic empowerment;
- Familiarity with Child Protection and MHPSS frameworks and approach preferred;
- Proven experience of promoting practical and impactful social and gender justice initiatives, community based protection initiatives around GBV, early child marriage among others to development and humanitarian action programs
- Strong understanding of the Lebanon political, legal, and social systems as related to GBV and refugee protection as well as demonstrated experience in working in/collaborating with civil society
- Familiarity with national and international standards and guidelines for GBV programming and coordination.
- Excellent knowledge of Arabic and English mandatory;
