Under the direct supervision of the Grants Manager, the Senior Grants Management Officer
(SGMO) will be responsible for the following:
● Act as primary contact and focal person for the Grants Management Unit.
● In close collaboration with the GM, develop strategic targets, Key Performance Indicators for the Grants Management unit/staff.
● Ensure grants/partnership policy is updated on a regular basis.
● Responsible for portfolio management (as assigned) in line with donor compliance and B&Z regulations/processes.
● In coordination with the GM and alongside the Finance, Technical, Operation, HR and M&E take the lead on developing new projects, in accordance with the
organization strategy.
● Undertake due diligence on the viability of potential new partnerships.
● Maintain and develop working relationships with existing donors and explore opportunities to renew potential partnerships in line with the programme priorities.
● Take the lead in developing capacity building plan for the inter-departmental staff, in accordance with the donor requirements and organization standards to ensure high
quality of delivery.
● Carry out a detailed donor mapping (in an agreed format with CDO/GM), to identify potential donors for funding and partnerships, in line with B&Z’s strategic targets.
● Organize and facilitate the planning / kick-off meetings for new projects, in collaboration with Operations, Technical Managers, Finance, HR and M&E
departments/units.
● Develop required documentation for the department, including templates, schedules and overview documentation;
● Work closely with the CDO / GM to ensure that all partnership opportunities conform to B&Z and in-country law and regulations.
● To undertake other duties as required by GM.
