Senior Business Coach

  • Be responsible of the entrepreneurship department and the supervision of the junior business coaches;
  • Prepare the project work plan and chronogram of intervention with the vocational course coordinators (outreach support, course preparation and implementation, selection process, and coaching process);
  • Coordinate with the partners for the planning and implementation of the social entrepreneurship courses, in collaboration with other main partners;
  • Participate in the elaboration of a coaching module for training and follow up, together with AVSI and the partner’s staff and the selected consultants;
  • Organize selection committee for entrepreneurial projects;
  • Ensure the success of the organized social entrepreneurship training courses respecting logistical, administrative and communication processes aligned with donor’s rules and requirements;
  • Supervise and monitor, in coordination with field officers, entrepreneurship activities;
  • Provide effective guidance and technical assistance to the business coaches and assess the needs in term of capacity building;
  • Establish a coaching calendar with the business coaches to conduct coaching sessions for new projects with students selected for the seed-fund in order to develop their project (including purchase of materials), in collaboration with main implementing partner;
  • Establish a monthly follow-up calendar for ongoing start-ups;
  • Conduct info-sessions to orient youth enrolled in vocational training activities in collaboration with Private Sector department;
  • Conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings with business coaches to discuss and resolve staff and program issues and concerns, reporting to the vocational course coordinator;
  • Develop and train selected staff on basic coaching methodologies, in collaboration with main implementing partner, respecting logistical and administrative procedures;
  • Develop comprehensive evaluation and monitoring tools to measure the impact of Social entrepreneurship course and coaching sessions on students’ personal development and capacity to become economically active in the community, in collaboration with the M&E department;
  • Provide reports along the year to the vocational coordinators, Project coordinators and M&E department including quantitative data and full descriptive narrative as per the project annual work plan;
  • Conduct research on social entrepreneurship and innovation in the agri-food sector;
  • Represent AVSI in the relevant meetings upon request;
  • Perform any other relevant duties;
