Music Educator

Primary Responsibilities:

• Use exciting methods and instructional up –to- date material and musical instruments to sing with the children and teach Music.
• Take part in the TEC parties (3 per year) in an active way.
• Lead a choir and/or, if possible, teach the recorder or the xylophone, etc.
• Prepare monthly and weekly plans.
• Show class management skills.
• Show self-motivation, enthusiasm and creativity.
• Work effectively with team members.

Skill Requirements:

• A full commitment to Tahaddi core values and humanitarian mandate.
• Full adherence to Tahaddi policies.
• Strong Arabic language skills. French and English are desirable with at least one with fluency.
• Good relational skills with a positive and encouraging spirit.
• Nonjudgmental attitude, maturity and patience in dealing with children and community members of different backgrounds.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local cultural context.
• Computer literate, be at least familiar with MS Office software package and Music software.

Working Conditions:

• Willingness to work in a very poor neighborhood with basic facilities and complex social dynamics.
• Social security and transportation benefits are added  to the basic salary
