A communication agency that will work on developing and implementing the project’s communication strategy over the duration of the project (July to November 2018). The communication agency will be responsible for building the project’s brand identity and ensuring the successful communication of Tourathi Project through the use of various tools.
Your contribution
The roles and responsibilities include:
Developing the brand identity of the project: – Suggested Time of delivery: 1st week of August 2018
- In consultation with Search and its partners as well as the youth involved in the project, develop a brand identity and design of promotional material (logo, guidelines, roll up banners and other project promotional material…)
- Develop a social media and communication strategy - Suggested Time of delivery: 1st week of August 2018
- In consultation with Search and its partners as well as the youth involved in the project, develop and implement a creative and innovative social media/communication strategy for the project over its duration for maximum visibility of the project and maximum outreach possible. The strategy will be divided into 2 main parts:
- General strategy for the project as a whole which includes:
- Who are the relevant target audience
- What are the messages we are going to communicate with our audience
- When will we communicate with the audience (key events and posting frequency)
- Who are the celebrity ambassadors/youth ambassadors that will help in promoting the project and how
- What are the main media outlets that we will use to communicate about the project
- Specific communication plans for the individual areas based on their specificities to help promote the cultural heritage identified and the final events organized by the youth in each area
Filming and producing short videos - Suggested Time of delivery: 1st week of September 2018
Produce a series of a minimum of 6 promotional "1 to 2 min" short clips one for each area. The production will be area-specific during the activities of the youth involved in the project.
Produce one video of a maximum of 2mins focusing on the project’s process and approach as a whole, which may include interviews or quotes from the youth who participated highlighting the youth participatory approach that was used
All videos needs to be subtitled from Arabic to English (or vice-versa if needed)
Guide/Brochure Development - Suggested Time of delivery: 3rd week of August 2018
In consultation with Search and its partners as well as the youth involved in the project, develop and design two versions of the guide (one in Arabic and one in English). The guide should include a summary of the findings of the mapping by the youth, description about the project. The guide should include a heritage map for each area detailing the findings of the youth. The guide/Brochure is estimated to be around 30 pages per version. The findings of the mapping will be provided by Search. Search will translate the content.
Potential Celebrities or Youth Ambassadors (part of the media strategy)
Identify and connect with potential celebrity or youth ambassadors who can help promote the work of the youth, the areas involved, and the project.
Meetings with youth volunteers
In coordination with Search and its partners, the communication agency should:
Conduct a 1 day brainstorming meeting with the youth and Search’s partners to discuss the project’s communication strategy (During the last two weeks of July 2018)
Conduct at least 1 field visit in the operational areas to meet with the youth and understand their initiatives and their areas. (During the last two weeks of July 2018)
Conduct another 1 day meeting with the youth to coach them on how to promote their areas (Throughout the lifetime of the agreement)
Search will arrange and fund the logistics of the abovementioned meetings including venue, transportation, and food.
Develop and maintain an online digital solution to promote the project which includes one main page for the project and 6 other subpages for the different areas. The aim of the platforms is to promote the project and the cultural heritage identified by the youth in each of the respective areas. Search has an active account on Tahaki that can be used to complement the promotion. This should be included in the Communication strategy. (part of the Media Outreach section)
Assist Search in the preparation of one final event in Beirut, which includes help in designing the branding of the final event, the invitation, media promotion, invitation for media agencies, etc,.. (Suggested Time of delivery: September 2018, all logistic, venue, and printing costs are covered by Search)
You have…
Experience in communication management;
Experience in working with youth from different cultural backgrounds;
Public relations and media experience; networking
Ability to communicate and work in English and Arabic are mandatory;
Ability to produce written content for online and offline communications;
Ethical professional with due diligence given to the sensitivity of project materials;
Has the technical experience in the production and post-production of short videos
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
