Physiotherapist

  Duties and Responsibilities:

• Treats a range of physical problems resulting from torture,illness, injury, disability.

• Devises and reviews treatment programs, comprising manual therapy, movement,exercise and the application of technological equipment.

• Offers advice on how to avoid injury and promote the beneficiaries' own future health and wellbeing. Physiotherapists must take into consideration any psychological, cultural or social factors that may influence the patient’s treatment.

• ​Assesses the physical conditions and needs of each patient.

• Assesses the psycho-somatic conditions of each patient.

• Understands the problem in detail by performing various tests as required, Writes patient case notes and reports.

• Keeps up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients.

• Engage in research for the improvement of physiotherapy services and stay up to date with new techniques available for treating patients.

• Coordinates with other healthcare personnel to supply and receive relevant information about the background and progress of patients, as well as refers patients who require other specific medical attention.

• Sees patients for several consultations (depends on each client’ needs) in order for progress to be made.

• Counsels the patient on his will and confidence and makes him understand the path to recovery.

• Work under the supervision of the head of the department of physical therapy

  Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the Physiotherapy code of Ethics

• Ability to establish and maintain the confidence and cooperation of others.

• Ability to obtain accurate data, to record such data and to write clear, accurate and concise assessment reports.

• Ability to maintain favorable public relations.

• Ability to set priorities and coordinate with others professionals.

• Team player and team builder.

• Ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural social and economic backgrounds.

• Ability to keep confidential information on tools, techniques and clients data at the center.
