Expression of Interest For Dairy based Food Processing Trainers

Concern Worldwide in collaboration with WHH under the funding of German Government, Tent Foundation and Dutch government is implementing a dairy project to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable individuals and communities impacted by the Syria Crisis through integrated community infrastructure rehabilitation, protection and livelihood interventions.

As part of the project and in collaboration with LARI, Concern intends to conduct training sessions for women to teach dairy based food processing at home and at commercial level. Concern will also be working with the dairy cooperatives to find jobs for trained women and to improve the access of dairy cooperatives to the new markets and sales points. Therefor Concern livelihoods program invites applications from qualified individuals to work as consultants with over the period of 6 months to implement the dairy training program of the Concern.

Individual trainers with strong community based training background, strong practical experience of teaching recipes like laban, various kind of cheese (double cream, cottage, shankleesh) and ice-cream  are encouraged to apply. All Applicants will be invited for 2-day ToTs at local dairy cooperative. 4 of all attendees will be selected on competitive basis. Women with strong technical background will be preferred.

Who can apply:

1. Minimum 3 years of work experience with in dairy sector preferably with MoA, FAO or similar agriculture based institute (Extension office, LARI, FAO or agri-business)
2. Minimum 2  years of experience to conduct community based training (10 points)
3. Minimum 2 years of experience in teach practical recipes from milk and prior experience of any commercial food processing will be a plus.
4. Minimum 1 year’ of training experience with very vulnerable women (10 points)
5. Residents of North Akkar (5 points)
6. Fluent in English (5 points)
7. Full availability to participate in 10 days training workshop (5 points)
