  1. Public - Community Connections:

Evidence-based content for resource generation.

 

  1. In response to local, regional, support office and/or global centre requests, research and publish, video/stories about successes and needs in World Vision projects and overall situation;
  2. In response to local, regional, support office or global centre requests, take, caption, upload and, as appropriate, publish, photos about successes and needs in World Vision projects and overall situation;
  3. Ensure these materials are published to the World Vision online platforms as appropriate and other WV and non-WV portals.
  4. Review local and regional online platforms site to ensure information such as captions, resources and other items are accurate and up-to-date. Remove outdated items and post new items.
  5. Ensure all written, photographic, video, web and other resources produced are done so in alignment with World Vision child protection standards.
  6. Support in WV’s compliance with global branding and corporate identity.

 

  1. Facilitate and train children/ youth/ community people based on programmatic needs utilizing the concept of the C4D and Communications for advocacy
  2. Support in the planning and implementation of community local initiatives and campaigns

 

  • Quality resources are developed  as per the communications plans for projects and through Share and  responded to by the deadline

 

  • Minimum two videos (story lines / advertising, promotional) are pitched and produced every month, including relevant b-roll / footage;

 

  • Minimum Two feature story pitched and produced every three months, including related photo resources;
  • Minimum one photo gallery pitched and produced every month;

 

  • Online platforms and portals content is up-to-date and accurate, and regularly refreshed;

 

  • Staff and Children engaged in WV programmes are well trained on the communications for development and communications for advocacy

 

  • Local initiatives and campaigns are well planned for with appropriate communication material and with appropriate visibility

REPUTATION & INFLUENCE: Organizational positioning in mainstream and social media to mobilize publics for social and policy change

 

  1. Contribute to media outreach plan resulting in increased positive coverage of WV’s work in local and national media outlets as needed

 

 

  1. Ensure relevant content is developed for all digital platforms and social media channels

 

  1. Ensure efficient social media channels are selected to initiate discussions around WV activities amongst target audiences. Manage digital platforms ensuring proper monitoring and analysis

 

  1. Ensure the external communication resources use correct WV identity.

 

  1. Provide communications support reflected in applicable regional and global advocacy campaigns.

 

  1. Host international and local media and press outlets representatives as per WVL comms protocol

 

 

  • increase in media impressions, number of instances WV is approached by media reps for opinion/content on stated ministry priorities (eg health, child protection, etc)

 

  • Discussion-raising content is developed and posted on social media channels.

 

  • percentage increase in followers/fans on channels and number of endorsements posted via channel amongst target audiences is achieved

 

  • Monitoring techniques are identified and analysis is done regularly.

 

  • Effectively hosted support office resource gathering, media, donor, and VIP visits with evidence of resource sharing.

III. STAFF ENGAGEMENT: Internal communications to mobilize staff for strategy, ministry execution and impact

 

    1. Develop internal communication tools and materials as required 

 

    1. Represent WVL in regional calls /webex.

 

    1. Feature national programming initiatives in regional and global communication platforms.

 

 

    • Internal communications channels (ie monthly newsletters, …) are monitored for staff effectiveness and engagement

 

    • monthly regional calls are attended

 

    • Ensure that national programming initiatives, views and news are regularly featured in regional and global internal communications platforms (regional newsletters, Connections, MEER update, wvcentral)

IV. Perform other duties as required

 

Safety and Security responsibilities:

  • Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture
  • Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager

 

Other Duties:

  • Attend and participate in local and international capacity building events as needed
  • Attend and participate in spiritual nurture events and other organizational events
  • Perform other related tasks as required by the Comms / Project  managers

 

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual, journalism, communications,
  • Strong  photography, video filming and editing skills
  • Previous experience of developing quality content and leading social media campaigns
  • Very strong ability to write, edit, and speak English (Previous experience writing, editing and/or publishing articles and taking photos)
  • Strong computer literacy, including ability to work with Microsoft Office and web-based software
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and understanding of social and political environment.
  • Full adherence to World Vision Lebanon Child Protection, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.
  • Full adherence to security protocols
  • 2 to 3 years of experience working in communications or journalism or a related field.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction, with team members as well as alone.
  • Experience of coordinating work between different stakeholders
  • Ability to cope with working in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local cultural context
  • A full commitment to World Vision’s core values and mission statement.
  • Experience in planning and implementation of media and social media campaigns
  • Familiarity with web-based portals and content-management systems
  • Position requires in-country travel for up to 50 per cent of working hours.
  • Position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally.
  • Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster. Also requires willingness to undergo World Vision and external training on how to respond to such emergencies, including first aid training.
  • Willingness to develop survival and security skills for various risks and challenges encountered in emergency situations.
  • Willingness to undergo first aid and security training.
