JOB PROFILE

Position:  Child Care Attendant

ABAAD PURPOSE:

ABAAD aims at achieving gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD has a proven record in working in addressing GBV in emergency settings. 

BACKGROUND:

In order to increase vulnerable women and girls’ (from all nationalities) access to prevention and response services, ABAAD operates safe spaces for women and girls in various locations in Mount Lebanon, Northern, South, and Bekaa Governorates. The GBV Case Worker position is a key position in ABAAD’s Women and Girls Safe Spaces program, ensuring the provision of appropriate case management services available to vulnerable women and girls, including survivors of gender-based violence (GBV).

REPORTING LINES: Post holder reports to: WGSS Coordinator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:       

Conduct educational activities such as story-reading and store telling.

Conduct Art and Crafts activities such as drawing, painting and collage.

Manage small groups of children by guiding them on the use of table games.

Identify the need of these children and provide accordingly activities that best fit their age group.

Other Activities:

Collaborate closely with ABAAD TEAM at the safe space.

Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and 3 month work plans in a timely manner.

Participate in weekly internal meetings if advised to do so.

Respect for ABAAD Code of Conduct and its PSEA Policy.

Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor to enable and development.

Ability to work well as an individual and in a team

Ability to manage an unpredictable workload in a challenging environment

Ability to work across socio-cultural and religious contexts

Belief in ABAAD’s mission and vision

Languages: Fluency in spoken and written Arabic
